ElevenLabs launched automatic translation of voice from video into 29 languages, including Russian

ElevenLabs, which develops speech synthesis, has launched a new feature for automatic dubbing of videos. This opportunity has become available to everyone directly on the company’s website.
AI synthesis technology translates speech and inserts it into the original audio track, trying to preserve the original tone and pronunciation. 29 languages supported.
It works simply:
- Go to ElevenLabs website and select a video - you can download it from the device’s memory or provide a link to YouTube, TikTok, Vimeo or even X (Twitter).
- Specify the source language and the one you want to translate into. And then click Create.
If there is no extraneous noise or music in the video, then it turns out pretty good. Below is an example of a translation of Steve Jobs' speech from a famous interview.
With trailers dubbed from YouTube, where there are a lot of sound effects and music, there may be artifacts and volume changes. But to understand the meaning, the ElevenLabs tool will be more than enough.
The video with the finished translation can be downloaded immediately. After the first test, authorization will be required - this can be done through a Google account. ElevenLabs technology cannot yet cope with very long videos.
