This is a cyclocopter that smoothly takes off, lands, hovers in the air and rotates around its axis.
Austrian startup CycloTech introduced the concept of a two-seater CruiseUp aeromobile, which has been in development for 15 years. Recently, the developers conducted the first successful tests of the prototype.
The aircraft is based on the CycloRotor propulsion system. It consists of six cyclorotors, although only four are visually visible. The other two are located in the bow and stern parts of the cabin and rotate around the longitudinal axis.
Such a system is capable of quickly changing the thrust vector by 360 degrees and provides high-precision flight sideways, forward and backward, as well as rotation and smooth hovering in the air. The cyclocopter also takes off and lands without sudden movements. And all this is done without bending over. The moving parts of the system are hidden in a separate unit and do not threaten the safety of people in the cabin.
The CruiseUp is about one and a half times the size of a standard car, but it has only two seats and a small trunk. Its length is 6.7 meters and width is 3.3 meters. He weighs about 80 kilograms. With such dimensions, it can easily land in the backyard and fit in a regular garage, which was important for the developers. They plan to promote their invention as a personal vehicle, not a commercial one.
The maximum speed is limited to 150 kilometers per hour. The power reserve is 100 kilometers.
Mass production of CruiseUp is planned to be launched only by 2035. By this time, the company hopes to successfully fly into the sky a completely ready-to-use aircraft.

- The flying transforming car AirCar made its first flight between cities
- GAC showed a flying electric car that can also travel on roads
- A “flying saucer” has been built in China, which will be offered instead of a car.
