The easiest way to peel ginger

Stock up on sandpaper and watch the video.
If you have peeled ginger with a knife, you have probably noticed that it is difficult for them to cut off a thin layer of skin. Some of the pulp comes off with it.
Of course, you don’t have to cut the peel, but scrape it. Often this is done not with a knife, but with a spoon, as, for example, Jamie Oliver.
But it still takes a long time to get used to it.
It is much easier and faster to use sandpaper. Coarse-grained is best.
You just need to rub vigorously ginger with a small piece of sandpaper on all sides until all the sand comes off.
Thanks to this method, almost all the pulp will remain in place. And you won’t have to fiddle around with hard-to-reach places for long. Especially if you first cut the branched ginger into smoother pieces.
If you don’t have sandpaper at home, you can replace it with a clean, or better yet, a new metal sponge with a very thin wire. In order for everything to work out exactly, you first need to hold the ginger in cool water for about a minute.
