The most reliable gadgets are not for everyone.
Samsung released two special versions of the Galaxy S23 - Tactical Edition and Xcover 6 Pro Tactical Edition. They differ from their conventional counterparts primarily in their “armor,” which allows them to work even in extreme conditions.
All other innovations are hidden inside and are also related to protection. So, they run on Android 13, but with additional software. The updated system includes stealth modes, which at the hardware level disable devices from all radio frequency transmissions. After their activation, they begin working with local communication systems.
The devices also come pre-installed with the BATDOK (Battlefield Assisted Trauma Distributed Observation Kit) application. It can be used to monitor the vital signs of an injured person in real time. This is mainly made for doctors who provide emergency care.
In addition, they are equipped with a more sensitive touch screen - it better tracks the movements of gloved fingers. Some other security features include dual VPN connections, the ability to record and block outgoing calls, and a longer lasting battery. The battery also charges much faster.
Both phones are also drop tested to 1.5 meters and are IP68 rated. As for external protection, it comes in the form of a durable case with an Armor Aluminum frame.
However, these devices will never appear for free sale. They were developed specifically for emergency services and the military.
