Sapphire crystal, titanium bezel and water resistance up to 100 meters.
Almost a year and a half after the announcement of the Tactix 7 line, Garmin has expanded the series with a new model, the Tactix 7 AMOLED Edition. As the name suggests, the main difference between the new product is the screen type.
If the original Tactix 7 Standard, Pro and Pro Ballistics have a Memory-In-Pixel screen (MIP), then the new version uses the more common AMOLED. The resolution was increased from 280 × 280 to 454 × 454 pixels, and support for AlwaysOn Display mode was added. The screen can be used in white or green flashlight mode with brightness adjustment.
The standard battery life is 31 days, but if you enable AOD it drops to 11 days. If you add GPS to this, the watch will only last 58 hours.
Otherwise, the capabilities of the watch correspond to other models in the line. It has 10 ATM water resistance, a stealth mode (turns off GPS and all methods of wireless data transmission) and a Kill Switch button that instantly erases all user data from the device. The screen is protected by sapphire crystal, the bezel is made of lightweight and durable titanium.
Garmin Tactix 7 AMOLED Edition is only available in black and 51mm size. They can already be ordered at official website manufacturer at a price of $1,400 (≈134,300 rubles).
