IPhone 15 and 15 Pro will work with any USB-C charger

The fears were not confirmed: cables with special chips are not needed.
Featured last week iPhone 15 became the first Apple smartphones with USB-C charging ports. Netizens were worried that the new products would only work correctly with certified cables and chargers, as is the case with Lightning. But it seems that the worry was in vain.
Editorial staff of the Ars Technica portal noticed, that the iPhone 15 has been added to the USB-C accessory compatibility tables on the Apple website. We are talking about cables and power supplies from Apple, Belkin and Mophie, which were released before the presentation of the iPhone 15 and do not have any identification chips.
Essentially, the iPhone 15 uses standard USB-C ports that will work with existing USB 3 and USB Power Delivery cables and chargers. Apple did the same with USB-C in iPad and Mac. And while this is a common practice, not all manufacturers do this: for example, some HP and Lenovo laptops charge more slowly if you use an unofficial charger.
This doesn't mean that Apple won't launch a certification like Made for iPhone, with a badge that will mark accessories that the company has verified. But the use of such accessories will not be mandatory and users will be able to get maximum speed charging and data transfer with the cables and adapters they already have (if they fit the specifications, Certainly).
