The audiobook is also available now, and the paper version will be released in the fall.
To coincide with the release of the final episode of the second season of “Food Block” based on the novel by Alexey Ivanov, “Bookmate” released a book based on the series. The book “Food Block 2” is already available on the service in e-book and audiobook formats.
The novelization included characters and scenes that were not included in the series, as well as additional facts about vampires and an even deeper dive into the emotions and experiences of the main characters.
The action of the second season takes place 3 years after that same summer shift at the Burevestnik camp, only now it’s happening in Moscow. The main character is once again Valerka Lagunov: a pioneer and a vampire who goes to school and struggles with a thirst for blood. A new powerful vampire appears in the city, which is why the protagonist’s secret is in jeopardy - as is his life.
The book based on the script for the second season was written by the author of mystical novels Anna Pronina (the “It Will Be Scary” series). The physical version will be published by Ripol Classic publishing house in the fall.
The audiobook was read by actor Dmitry Endaltsev (“Just Imagine What We Know,” “The Last Minister”), who previously voiced Alexey Ivanov’s “Food Block.”
