Yandex presented an update to its payment system. Yandex Pay has been Russified into Yandex Pay and received a number of new functions.

As before, the system allows you to link a card from any Russian bank and use it for payment - however, now not only on the Internet, but also offline. Clients who have previously paid through Yandex services will be able to use Pay immediately: data and cards from the account will be automatically retrieved.

When paying online, users will receive 1% cashback (in the form of Plus points) on all transactions, and increased cashback of up to 10% will also be offered at partner stores. The list can be viewed in the application, where you can also set up “Split” for paying for purchases in parts and “Saves” - savings accounts with daily interest payments.

Offline payment only works with a Yandex debit card. The system can be added for contactless payment on an Android smartphone with NFC, and you can also pay using a QR code.
