Sony has released a PS5 update with game library search and Dolby Atmos support

Sony announced about the release of a PS5 update that adds features previously only available in beta. Among them:

• Remote Play support on devices running Android TV OS 12 (only Chromecast 4K with Google TV and BRAVIA XR A95L are certified for now).
• Search your game library.
• Dolby Atmos surround sound support on compatible devices.
• New opportunities for communication and interaction with other players.
• Ability to use the DualSense gamepad by one user.
• Supports larger capacity SSDs (up to 8 TB).
• DualSense haptic feedback when navigating menus.
• Adjust the volume of the console startup sound (with the ability to turn it off completely).

Let's take a closer look at the new options for communication and interaction between players:

• In the app on iOS and Android, you can see a screenshot of a friend's screen when asked to join a game and respond to messages using emoji.
• When inviting a user to a private gaming session, you no longer need to invite them to a group or create a new group.
• You can invite a whole group at once to a closed session, rather than individual users.

• The Friends tab now displays a list of friends' open gaming sessions that you can join right now.
• The game hub now displays the tournaments you've participated in, along with your best score.

The update is already available for PlayStation 5 users around the world.
