Samsung smart ring may be presented along with Galaxy S24

According to messages Chinese publication ITHome, work on the Galaxy smart ring from Samsung is nearing completion. Mass production started in August, with sales scheduled to begin early next year. The official announcement may take place in January at the presentation of the Galaxy S24 flagships.

To develop this gadget, Samsung entered into a cooperation agreement with the Japanese company Meiko Electronics Co., Ltd. — She is responsible for the production of the smart ring circuit board.

The main emphasis of the device will be on collecting data about the user’s health - much more accurate than in the case of the Galaxy Watch. The gadget will be able to measure pulse, do ECG, track temperature and other indicators.

Regarding the commercial name of the new product, the data differs. Some insiders write about Samsung Curio branding. In total, Samsung has currently filed applications for the following trademarks in the US and Europe:
