Often a person makes a promise to himself to start a new life on January 1 or Monday. But something goes wrong, and the deadline for introducing useful habits is constantly postponed, or even disappears from the calendar. Sometimes this behavior is explained by simple laziness, but there are other reasons.
Scientists from the Royal Melbourne University of Technology conducted a survey of Australian adults and identified beliefs that one way or another prevent people from switching to a healthy lifestyle. Here are the most common ones.
1. "I have no time"
And this is the most common excuse. In fact, it looks more like a regular excuse. There may not be enough time if you do not allocate it correctly, so it is worth analyzing your daily schedule. Surely, between work and household chores, there will be breaks that are filled with not the most useful things.
You can try, for example, limit surfing the Internet or give up the habit of watching almost the entire season of a TV series in an evening. Instead, set aside at least half an hour for daily home workouts. This will already make your usual lifestyle more healthy.

Also, when a person is not alone, he may feel more comfortable working out in the gym or in group classes without embarrassment.
Invite friends or family to join you. Turn your endeavors into a game and come up with some kind of challenge: for example, agree not to eat fast food month or find out who can walk the most steps in a week.
