It can be programmed by sound from the phone.
Bulgarian startup Eurolan has developed a reusable GGtag badge. It uses a 3.52-inch E-Ink screen to display user-defined information: text, image, link, or QR code. It can also be used as a programmable RFID card.
The device can be programmed via USB or sound (via the ggwave custom sound library). This allows you to almost instantly transfer the necessary icons, text, QR codes or RFID tags to one or more badges. Configuration uses the Web Serial API via the GGtag web interface, which works in browsers like Chrome and Edge - including Chrome for Android.
The screen resolution is 360 × 240 pixels. Inside are RP2040 and ATtiny85 microcontrollers (the latter for RFID), 2 MB of flash memory and a digital microphone for sound programming.
The device weighs only 32 grams, works for 2-3 days and is charged with a regular USB-C. You can also use CR2032 batteries for long-term operation without recharging.
Fundraising for the release of GGtag launched on crowdfunding
crowd supply. On the platform, you can pre-order the device for $45 (≈4,300 rubles) and increase the chances of a release. At the time of publication, the project has already raised 53% of the amount needed to launch, crowdfunding will last until October 12.More new gadgets🧐
