WhatsApp launches HD video sharing feature

last week whatsapp appeared the ability to send images in HD quality. Now messenger supports high resolution for video.

Previously, all sent videos were automatically compressed to 480p. Although the result was a smaller file that saved space and loaded faster, the image quality after that left much to be desired.

Now users can choose the compression mode between two options - "Standard Quality" (480p) and HD Quality (720p). And WhatsApp will even show to what size the file will be reduced after one or another processing option.

If this offer does not suit you and you need to share media content in its original resolution (1080p or 4K), then you can send it in file format. In this case, the messenger will not change it in any way.

WhatsApp with the new feature is already available in the App Store and Google Play. It is noted that for some users it may not appear immediately, but only after some time.
