Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro is presented with a large screen and autonomy of 14 days

Together with a foldable smartphone Mix Fold 3 Xiaomi has officially unveiled the new smart bracelet Smart Band 8 Pro. Like last year Smart Band 7 Pro, the novelty is a variation of the basic bracelet - in this case Smart Band 8 - with a different shape and a slightly enlarged display.

The diagonal of the AMOLED screen is 1.74 inches (against 1.62 inches for Smart Band 8), the display occupies 70% of the front panel. The pixel density is 336 ppi, the refresh rate is 60 Hz. Always On mode and automatic brightness control are supported.

The bracelet has a GPS module, thanks to which the watch is able to record the training route and offer navigation through the saved maps without connecting to a smartphone. NFC is present, but only works with Chinese payment systems WeChat and Alipay.

The processor is not specified, but the manufacturer claims that it is “smartwatch-level” and provides a smoother interface with reduced power consumption. Health sensors are standard - SpO2 and heart rate - but the manufacturer claims that the measurement accuracy has been doubled.

The bracelet offers more than 100 ready-made watch faces to choose from, as well as the ability to create a custom one from any photos or pictures.

Compared to the previous generation, an important improvement was the increase in autonomy: 14 days versus 12. However, this is without the Always On mode: it is worth waiting for 6 days of battery life with it.

As a fitness tracker, the device tracks over 150 types of workouts, including swimming, thanks to 5 ATM water resistance. Without a strap, the bracelet weighs 22.5 grams, the thickness of the case is 9.9 mm.

Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro is priced at 399 yuan for the version with a polyurethane bracelet and 449 yuan for the version with a genuine leather strap. This is approximately 5,600 and 6,300 rubles, respectively. Additional bracelets can be purchased at a price of 39 yuan (≈550 rubles) for polyurethane to 199 yuan (≈2,800 rubles) for a Milan loop.
