"Stories" in Telegram became a free feature
Miscellaneous / / August 12, 2023
Paid feature "Stories” has become free in the latest beta version of Telegram for Android. But with a number of limitations.
Non-premium users can access up to three Stories per day or seven per week for a total of 30 stories per month. Descriptions are limited to 200 characters. You can keep them in your profile for no more than 24 hours.
Telegram Premium subscribers remain in priority - their entries will always be displayed first in the list. They can create up to a hundred posts per day, save them for 6, 12, 24 or 48 hours to choose from, and add a description of 2048 characters. And in the editor, you can format the text, leave hyperlinks and even indicate geolocation, which free users are deprived of.
Paid privileges also included the ability to anonymously view other people's publications and save them to the device (if the author has not forbidden it). Subscribers also have access to a list of those who have viewed their videos (even after deleting them).
Stories is expected to go public on Telegram for Android by August 20th. Most likely, at the same time, they will also appear in the free version of the messenger for iOS.
