Russian cinemas will be able to show "Barbie" And "Oppenheimeronly after their digital release. Sources of Vedomosti reportedthat the Hollywood majors have figured out a scheme for the supply of theatrical copies to Russia.

There were several providers. First of all, these are cinemas from Kazakhstan, one of the interlocutors of the publication noted. They were identified by the watermarks put by the distributor.

At the same time, some copies were without digital marks, which indicates a leak directly from the major's office in the CIS or the structures involved in the work on the localization of Hollywood new products.

Now Russian cinemas will be forced to show copies of digital releases even months after the world premiere of new products - the break will depend on the success of the film at the box office. In addition, the quality of the picture and sound will noticeably decrease.

It turns out that "Barbie" and "Oppenheimer" may appear in the domestic box office only in the fall, possibly in October. With such fees, their digital release will probably not take place anytime soon.
