Prepare metal balls.
Nearly four years after Tesla CEO Elon Musk first unveiled a prototype electric Cybertruck, the automaker has finally built its first production vehicle. Photo with the "first swallow" appeared on company social media.
Recall the billionaire personally showed new product in November 2019, and then promised to start mass production in 2021. The car immediately attracted attention with its futuristic design and became meme hero. Interest in it was so great that just three days after the premiere, the number of pre-orders exceeded 200,000.
Earlier this year, the billionaire tempered his expectations about how quickly Tesla would ramp up production of the Cybertruck. As it turned out, the unusual design creates problems in production, and the stainless steel case is difficult to machine and weld. Therefore, you can almost certainly forget about the old prices. Musk has already hinted that they could noticeably change upwards.
It will be difficult to make the cost affordable because it is a new car, a new production method. But still very cool.

Back in October 2021, the company removed the price list and specifications from the Cybertruck pre-order page without explanation. Tesla originally said it would sell the pickup truck in three configurations:
- with a power reserve of more than 400 kilometers at a price of 39,900 dollars (more than 3,500,000 rubles);
- with a power reserve of about 500 kilometers at a price of 49,900 dollars (4,500,000 rubles);
- with a power reserve of more than 800 kilometers at a price of 69,900 dollars (6,300,000 rubles).
Tesla is expected to put 2,000 pickups. In total, the company plans to produce 1.78 million vehicles. True, it is not known for how long.
