American startup starts giving away 4K TVs for free

In May, American startup Telly promised by the end of 2023, give away half a million of their “smartest TVs in the world". Then many did not believe in such generosity, but today the company informed about the start of deliveries.

The first users have already received their 55-inch 4K TVs with an additional small display, which is about 22 centimeters high. It is placed under the main matrix and is intended for continuous display of advertising. You can also display various widgets on it, for example, with weather, news, sports results and other useful information.

The TV has a camera (with a protective shutter) for fitness programs, as well as a set of built-in games.

So far, the project has been launched in test mode. To participate in it, consumers need to sacrifice some privacy and allow the company to track their browsing, which is the essence of the business model. In 2024, the company promises to give away "millions more" devices.
