After you import the old mail you should configure everything so that all the new messages are forwarded to your main inbox.
In settings Gmail Settings; Forwarding you can add an old address, a password and set up an old box cleaning rules. You can either remove a letter, after transfer to a new one, and leave it in the old well.
Redirect the mail in Outlook can be configured by means of rules, which is also not difficult. But it may require that the Outlook was launched.

Because you just do not want to keep open a program or to hope that POP access you will not block - to notify all of their new address. Do not forget social networks, blogs, forums - all the places where you have already lighted.
Carefully select your signature
Some plants just a few boxes to divide the work and personal space. If so, you should probably continue to maintain this separation. However, not all necessary, but when you reply to a specific letter, pay attention to what kind of signature you use: it must relate to the topic.
