IOS 17, iPadOS 17, and macOS 14 Sonoma Public Beta Released

We tell you how to install them on your devices.
Apple has released the first public betas of its new operating systems for smartphones, tablets and computers. All users of compatible gadgets can test them - even without a developer account.
iOS 17
In the new version of the system for iPhone, the most interesting innovation became the StandBy mode, which allows you to use your smartphone as a smart screen. It can be turned on when the gadget is placed in landscape orientation and not in use.
How to install iOS 17:
- Go to beta test site Apple.
- Sign up and enter your Apple ID details.
- On your smartphone, open iOS settings - "General" → "Software update" → "Beta updates".
- Select iOS 17 Public Beta, reboot your device and download the firmware.
We recommend that you first back up your data in your Apple ID → iCloud settings.
iOS 17 is compatible with Apple smartphones starting with iPhone XS, iPhone SE 2, iPhone XR and newer models.
iPadOS 17
System for tablets first attracts new lock screen, interactive widgets, and a redesigned Health app. The instructions for installing the beta here are the same as in the case of the iPhone.
You can install iPadOS 17 on iPad Pro (from 2nd generation), iPad Air (from 3rd generation), iPad (from 6th generation) and iPad mini (from 5th generation).
macOS 14 Sonoma
Mac OS received desktop widgets, separate profiles in Safari, and a game mode that improves performance and reduces latency for connected Bluetooth devices.
How to install macOS 14 Sonoma:
- open beta website Apple software through Safari.
- Sign up with your Apple ID, or click Sign In if you've used beta firmware before.
- Select macOS and download the public beta access utility.
- Run the utility file in the image to subscribe to receive beta updates.
- Go to the "General" section of the system settings and open "Software Update".
- Select "Beta Updates".
- Check the box "macOS Sonoma Public Beta" and download the new firmware.
The system is supported on the following computers:
- iMac 2019 and newer;
- iMac Pro 2017;
- MacBook Air 2018 and newer;
- MacBook Pro 2018 and newer;
- Mac Pro 2019 and newer;
- Mac Studio 2022;
- Mac Mini 2018 and newer.
