Magic ToDo breaks down tasks into steps using AI
Miscellaneous / / July 11, 2023
Double benefit: and the task becomes less scary, and the brain rejoices when you cross out many small steps.
Enthusiasts have launched the Goblin Tools website, which offers some simple AI-powered tools. One of them is Magic ToDo, a to-do list that automatically generates subtasks.
Everything works simply. The first step is to enter a new task. Although the interface is in English, the text can be entered in Russian. Click on + to add a task and then Break item down to generate subitems. In the panel to the right of the input window, you can adjust the level of "sharpness" of the breakdown: the more peppers, the more stages the AI will prescribe.
Completing task items fills the progress bar, you can also click on the Estimate button to calculate the estimated completion time. You can add your own sub-items to any item, but in practice they often duplicate an existing plan.
In addition to Magic ToDo, Goblin Tools has other tools:
- Formalizer — changes the tone of the email to be more formal, specific, sarcastic, or something else of your choice.
- Judge - AI gives an impartial interpretation of the text so that you can understand whether the message was clearly communicated yourself or whether you came up with passive aggression in the incoming message.
- Estimator — Calculates how much time can be spent on the task you describe.
- Compiler - turns a chaotic textual presentation into a clear list of tasks.
- Chef - you describe what you have in the fridge, what allergies and dietary restrictions you have, and the AI advises dishes that you can cook.
The service is free, does not require registration and saves sessions in the browser. For more convenience, you can download the Goblin Tools application: it costs 99 rubles in App Store and 85 rubles in Google Play, and the funds raised ensure that the web version runs free for everyone.
