This is another way to mislead in order to fish out card details later. Be carefull.
Fraudsters have improved their scheme, in which they appear to be employees of the Central Bank. Now they not only call people on behalf of the Central Bank, but also send e-mail messages with an invitation to a personal meeting at the Bank of Russia. About it reported in the official Telegram channel of the Central Bank.
Letters from malefactors begin with address by name and patronymic. They indicate the time of reception and the real address of the Bank of Russia in the region where the potential victim lives.
Using the substitution of an email address, the domain of the Bank of Russia cbr.ru is indicated as the sender of the message, so the recipient of the letter may not notice the catch.
After sending the letter, the scammers contact the recipient by phone and, under various pretexts, try to lure out his bank card details and SMS code, or persuade him to transfer money.
The Bank of Russia reminds that none of the employees of the Central Bank can request personal and banking data by phone. Moreover, if you yourself did not make an appointment, but received such an invitation, do not respond to it and simply delete it.
The Central Bank, on its own initiative, does not invite citizens to a personal reception.
To clarify information, you can always call the contact center of the Bank of Russia at the toll-free number 8 800 300-30-00.
