Firefox Browser Ends Support for Windows 7 and 8

A number of older versions of macOS were also out of luck.
Popular even in 2023, Windows 7 continues to lose browser support. Since February this system stopped Get updates for Chrome and now Mozilla released latest version of your browser: Firefox 115.
With the release of the update, computers on Windows 7 and 8, as well as macOS 10.12, 10.13 and 10.14 automatically switch to Firefox 115 ESR (Extended Support Release). This is the last major update for these systems.
The ESR version means that until the end of support, Mozilla will continue to release security patches and other updates that are not related to the addition of new features (for example, improving stability and performance). Such limited support will last until September 2024, after which users of older systems should not even count on fixing critical vulnerabilities.
