The method boils down to, to replace the division by simple addition.

Suppose you need to divide 1234 by 9.

1234÷9=?

1. Fold digits of 1234: 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 = 10. 10 divided by 9. We get 1 and 1 in the residue.

2. The fractional part - 1/9.

3. Fold 1 + 2 + 3 + 1 = 7. 1 - an integer that happened, we work with the first action. Write 7. This will be the last digit of the result.

4. Fold 1 + 2 = 3. Write 3. This is the second digit of the result.

5. Remains 1, record 1. This is the first digit of the result.

Answer: 137 1/9.

8346÷9=?

1. 8+3+4+6=21. 21 divided by 9. 2 and 3 obtain a residue.

3. 8+3+4+2=17. Write 7 balance - 1.
