In Russia began to monitor the condition of patients using instant messengers

Patients no longer need to go directly to doctors.
Moscow State Medical University named after I. M. Sechenov developed a system for remote monitoring of the health of patients with chronic heart failure (CHF). She works through messengers.
With CHF, the heart loses the ability to efficiently pump blood and provide oxygen to the body. As a result, a person develops shortness of breath, palpitations, swelling and weakness. The disease is one of the socially significant and has a high mortality rate.
People with heart failure are a particularly vulnerable group of patients. The disease has a long course with periods of improvement and deterioration, which can lead to hospitalization. Timely correction of therapy helps to improve a person's condition.

The development of Sechenov University works like this: the patient daily receives a list of simple questions about his state of health (about pressure, pulse, edema and shortness of breath), then the system analyzes the responses and, in case of deviation from the norm, marks the patient’s name with a yellow or red flag, depending on the severity states. This is immediately displayed in a special program on computers
doctors. Thus, doctors can quickly monitor the condition of patients and prevent complications in time.
The system has been operating for three months now and now about 100 patients with CHF are participating in it. In the future, the developers promise to make it more widespread, as well as extend it to other serious diseases. For example, a similar study of rheumatoid arthritis is already underway at the university, and a project to monitor people with respiratory diseases will start in the coming days.
