Miscellaneous / / June 30, 2023
In the ranking, hits coexist with little-known games that you have hardly heard of.
Metacritic summed up the results of the first half of the year, collecting list of the best video games released between January 1 and June 30, 2023. To do this, the authors compared the Metascore rating among all new games that received at least 7 reviews.
The list excluded remasters that do not significantly differ from the original game (for example, they improve textures, but do not change the gameplay in any way), as well as any kind of additions. Since Metacritic separates reviews by platform (so that optimization issues on one console don't lower the score PC version that works as it should), when compiling the rating, the average score of the version with the highest number of ratings. Estimates were taken before rounding, in order to accurately distribute the games in places.
