The most common menu item, it probably Default or Default. It is found in almost every application, and it may very often be a few menu items. Take for example, Pages. It element Default It has just two points - Ligature and baseline. Here's how to explain what it is for Mac'u menu item we want to assign a shortcut? In fact, everything is quite simple.
To distinguish the menu items together, you need to use special characters -> between each element polnnostyu prescribing "path" to desired item from the beginning to the end. For example, to export to PDF should be written like this:
File-> Export B-> PDF... Gaps between the special character and the name of the menu item should not be.Let us now assign hotkeys to our points of twins from the menu Format.
1. open the settings and go to the section Keyboard.
2. On the shortcut keys, select in the side menu App Shortcuts and click +.
3. Now you need to enter the name of the menu and add the desired key combination.
3.1 For ligatures it will Format-> Shrift-> Ligatura-> Default.
3.2 To Baseline - Format-> Shrift-> Basic line-> Default.
That's all. Now, each menu item a shortcut. In the same way, you can assign a hot key for any action (if it is on the menu) in absolutely any application OS X.
