The O Sitter robot is introduced. This is a cat sitter

An interesting new project has appeared on Kickstarter: the O Sitter robot companion, which will be able to entertain and feed the cat while the owner is at work or away.

The robot is equipped with a camera with a resolution of 2K and zoom up to 4x. Due to the rotating "head" it covers 360° horizontally and 110° vertically. The camera supports a smart algorithm that finds a cat at a distance of up to three meters and focuses on it. Night vision mode is also present.

The gadget has no wheels. On the contrary, the creators added props on the sides so that the cat does not turn it over during the game.

The camera is responsible not only for shooting video, but also for communication: at any time you can call your pet and talk to him through the robot. The video, however, will only be displayed in humans: the robot's display can only display emotions.

The O Sitter has a laser pointer that can be operated in automatic or manual mode. In the first case, one of three standard motion patterns can be selected, in the second case, the laser is controlled by the user through the HHOLOVE application. In it, you can also view video from the camera and old recordings, set up a feeding schedule and view reports from the robot.

Such a robot can be used instead of a smart feeder: inside there is a 2.5-liter container with the ability to feed on command or with a given regularity. Suitable dry food with pieces 3-13 mm in size. When the food in the container runs out, a notification will be sent to the smartphone. Manufacturers note that this is enough for 2 weeks for one cat or for a week if you have two cats. Owners of three or more pets are advised to use multiple O Sitters.

O Sitter was priced at $199 (≈16,800 rubles), but it can be ordered at the crowdfunding stage on Kickstarter at a price of $109 (≈9,200 rubles). Orders are expected to ship in August.
