WhatsApp is testing work with different accounts on one smartphone

WhatsApp continues to expand the capabilities of the messenger. After additions support for one account on multiple devices, the developers took on the opposite function: switching between different accounts on one smartphone.

How noticed Editors of the WABetaInfo portal, in the latest beta of WhatsApp Business for Android (build 2.23.13.5), a menu for quickly switching between accounts has appeared. The list will display all the accounts that you logged into from this device, but they will disappear if you log out of the account through the menu. This will save users from having to install multiple copies of the application or use different devices for different accounts.

The authors note that although the feature is currently only available in the business version of the messenger, there is nothing to indicate that it is exclusive to WA Business. They suggest that soon this option will be tested in regular WhatsApp.

A release date has not yet been announced, but it looks like a fully functional feature is being tested now, and not a stub to test the interface.
