Apple is developing a dent and scratch resistant iPhone

Bad news for case manufacturers.
Apple patented Scratch and dent resistant smartphone case. To protect it, the company came up with something like bubbles with a diameter of about 5 millimeters each.
They will consist of glass, metal, ceramics and plastic. It is assumed that the combination of these materials will make the iPhone virtually invulnerable to any damage and will not interfere with the device's radio signals. Apparently, such “armor” will allow users to permanently abandon cases for smartphones.
It is possible that these durable micro-granules will become not only protection for the smartphone, but also part of its design. According to the patent, in the light they will "shimmer like precious stones."
Now the Cupertino company is experimenting with the shapes and sizes of "balls". A similar surface may also appear on future iPads and MacBooks. However, it is worth remembering that the presence of a patent does not guarantee the implementation of the idea.
