Google moves reminders from Calendar to Tasks
Miscellaneous / / June 10, 2023
Google in the coming weeks will launch automatic transfer of reminders from "Google Calendar" and "Google Assistant" to the application "Google Tasks".
Users were warned about this back in February. However, then abstract terms were called - in the second quarter of 2023. Now they are clearly marked - the transfer will be completed before the end of June.
For a more convenient transition, Google has provided the ability to start transferring reminders yourself. If this is not done in the near future, then by the end of the month it will happen automatically, the company warned.
Google Workspace enterprise and school customers have already begun automatic migration of reminders. They cannot do it on their own.
Google Tasks was launched in 2018. It's found in the sidebar of Gmail, Documents, Calendar, and some of the company's other services. It has a separate app on mobile devices.
