And Hideo Kojima personally announced Death Stranding for Mac.
At the WWDC conference, they showed a new version of macOS, which was called Sonoma.
The desktop system now allows you to set a unique image for the lock screen, which will smoothly transition into the background image when you log in.
Widgets in macOS Sonoma can be placed directly on the desktop - anywhere on the screen. They are interactive: you can run a command or scroll through the calendar without opening the main application. These widgets automatically merge into the background when you launch any program, so as not to draw attention.
Sonoma will introduce a game mode that improves performance and reduces latency for connected Bluetooth devices.
Hideo Kojima also took the stage to announce the release of Death Stranding Director's Cut, which will be released on Mac later this year. The exact dates are not specified, but Kojima promised that pre-orders in the App Store will open soon.
For those who regularly give presentations, we have added a new overlay mode for video from a webcam to an image from the screen. This feature will work across Zoom, Teams, and other apps.
Safari, meanwhile, is getting profilesāthe ability to separate work and personal activities with individual extensions, tab groups, bookmarks, and even cookies.
Attention was also paid to web applications. Developers will be able to create them based on any site, and users will be able to receive notifications from them, just like from regular applications. Web applications can be placed in the dock.
A release date for macOS Sonoma has yet to be announced.
