A real long-term construction, which has been developed in the bowels of the company for more than 7 years.
On June 5, as part of the WWDC conference, Apple finally introduced the Vision Pro virtual and augmented reality headset. These are quite compact glasses with their own operating system.
“This is a new type of computer that complements reality by seamlessly blending the digital world with the real world,” Apple said.
The device is designed for work and entertainment. It resembles a ski mask and allows you to "overlay" the picture on top of reality, displaying various interfaces.
When putting on these glasses, the user first sees the real world, on top of which applications will be displayed. The interface of each of them can be scaled by adjusting the size of the elements and their proximity.
With Vision Pro, you can chat, watch videos and photos, surf in Safari, take notes and get creative. According to the developers, all this in augmented reality gives a completely new experience. After all, now the usual scenarios will change forever - they will become three-dimensional.
The device is controlled exclusively by eyes, hands and voice - no mice or gamepads. A set of sensors and cameras allows you to accurately read all gestures. Also on top there is a wheel for scrolling through menus and interfaces, as well as adjusting the transparency of the picture.
In many renders, the device looks transparent - the user's eyes are visible, but in fact it is the front display that shows the eyes in real time. They are literally filmed and projected from above, creating the effect of transparent glass Vision Pro.
The material is being added.
