"Yandex Music" can now be turned on on TVs from a smartphone

Using the remote control in the Yandex Music mobile application, you can now not only control music on the Station, but also turn it on in the Kinopoisk application on the TV.

You don’t need to be on the same WI-FI network or connect via Bluetooth - just use the same Yandex ID on your TV and mobile phone. Synchronization occurs automatically when both devices are connected to the network.

The developers note that this innovation will be especially useful for those whose TV is the only audio system in the house. Thanks to this feature, users can easily find and turn on the desired track on the TV, turn it up or down and turn on video clips using a mobile phone as a remote control.

How to turn on "Yandex Music" on a TV from a mobile phone:

1. Open the Kinopoisk application on TV and Yandex Music on your phone and make sure you are using the same account.
2. Play music, My Wave, a video clip, or a podcast on your mobile phone.
3. Select your TV in the upper corner of the player in the Yandex Music application.

4. Yandex Music will automatically connect to the TV - no need to set up Bluetooth or be on the same Wi-Fi network.
5. The album art, title, lyrics, and playback controls will be displayed on the TV screen.

When you sync devices, the music will continue to play from where it left off on your mobile phone.

This new feature is available on LG TVs (2016 and up), Samsung TVs (2018 and up) and Android TV without limitation.
