Fast & Furious is getting a spin-off starring Dwayne Johnson

Universal Film Company officially announced, which is developing a spin-off of "Fast and the Furious" about Luke Hobbs - the hero of Dwayne Johnson. The actor himself also confirmed participation in the as-yet unnamed project.

This picture will not be a sequel to "Hobbs and Shaw", but a separate project, which, according to the chronology of events, will become a "bridge" between the tenth and eleventh parts of the main series.

The script will be handled by Chris Morgan, who worked on six Fast & Furious films, as well as Hobbs & Shaw. The film will be produced by Johnson himself, as well as by Vin Diesel and his sister Samantha Vincent.

It is expected that many of the main actors from the series "Fast and the Furious" will also take part in the project. A date for the start of filming and release of the film has yet to be announced.
