Dogs are often referred to as "man's best friends" as they have been faithful pets for at least 10,000 years. However, not all breeds are friendly. Scientists from the University of Helsinki (Finland) revealed the most sociable and most unsociable pets.
To do this, experts processed data from 11,000 dogs of 300 different breeds. As a result, they revealed a strong relationship between species and seven personality traits: self-doubt, focus on training, aggressiveness / dominance, energy, attitude towards relatives, attitude towards a person and persistence.
The most friendly were recognized as bull terriers, golden retrievers and dwarf breeds. And various hunting dogs were in the anti-rating.
Scientists have also discovered several other factors that influence the character of dogs. It turned out that females are usually more sociable than males, and young dogs are friendlier than adults.
Experts recommend not to delay the socialization of your pets and introduce them to other people more often. In this case, they will be kinder.
