Thin, powerful and "cold".
Xiaomi has announced the Civi 3, the company's latest smartphone in a series aimed at a younger audience. The phone received an original case with a two-tone back, a dual selfie camera, complemented by LED-backlight.
The screen is 6.55-inch with a 12-bit OLED panel, Full HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, support for 1920Hz PWM dimming, up to 1500 nits brightness, and support for Dolby Vision. It is slightly curved along the edges.
Inside the smartphone is a Dimensity 8200-Ultra chip with a 4000 mm² cooling element, which is 68% larger than Civi 2. The manufacturer guarantees that the heating limit of the front of the smartphone is 40.1 ° C, which is not much by the standards of modern smartphones.
The screen has two 32MP sensors. One is a standard autofocus camera and the other is an ultra-wide-angle lens (100°). Traditionally, the cameras are complemented by proprietary AI Super Sense Four Soft Light algorithms with many effects for portraits. Even a special chip has been announced, which is responsible for processing selfies and a natural picture.
The main photomodule includes three sensors. The main one is Sony IMX800 at 50 megapixels, like Xiaomi 13. It is complemented by a new lens system and OIS optical stabilization. The second sensor is 8MP (120°) and the third is 2MP for macro. Both the front and rear cameras support 4K video recording.
Xiaomi Civi 3 has a 4,500 mAh battery with support for 67 W fast charging, which can replenish 100% in 38 minutes. With such a battery, the smartphone turned out to be quite thin and light - 7.56 mm and 173.5 grams.
The amount of RAM is 12 GB (LPDDR5X), internal memory is 256/512 GB (UFS 3.1). There will also be a special version with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB storage for those who have too many photos. There are also stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos.
In China, Civi 3 will be sold at a price of 2,499 yuan (≈28,300 rubles). Start of sales scheduled on May 31st. Later, the novelty may appear abroad.
