Tips / / December 19, 2019
Out of habit, leaving the balcony plowing without shading at least a curtain and come home in the evening, I found in the apartment of a whole flock of small animals. And it reminded me that very soon a hot summer and annoying mosquitoes. I do not know if that helps you with the tools bought from a pharmacy from mosquitoes, but for me personally they are saving just half an hour. To leave the room during the night included the fumigator is not very desirable, especially if the house has a small child. So I decided to ask the popular and proven means.

Views Page 10 on this subject, I decided to do a little collective post with the most sane options. I do not know how much they are if they are good and will help everyone, but try it is worth.
1. Plants. If you have a balcony, where you can put pots with flowers, let them be among basil and tansy. Their smell repels mosquitoes and some beetles. Especially because one of these plants is quite suitable for salads, and the second when dried, can then be used for therapeutic purposes. So no harm - continuous use.
2. Essential oils. This oil of orange, cedar, lavender, tea tree, geranium, clove, mint, thyme and citronella (if you can find). They can be added in aromolampu; in water and to spray the flat; in oil-base or hand cream and apply on exposed areas before you go out. Just be sure that you do not have this oil allergy. So that these funds really work well, they must be applied to the body every two hours. If you have a private house, in the yard you can place the containers with water and aromatherapy oil. These oils repel flies, especially tea tree + Lavender + Geranium + Clove.
3. Vanilla extract, preferably natural. Simply apply on pulse points - wrists, neck, elbow creases, and behind the knees.
4. The leaves of some plants. The smell of the pounded leaves of sage, thyme, lemon balm, and Schisandra also repels mosquitoes. Wormwood grows almost anywhere, so if you sit outdoors, you can take your hands with something useful.
5. Garlic. Not a very pleasant smell, but it works.
6. Tobacco smoke and smoke from the fire. If you smoke, you are unlikely to pristanut mosquitoes - they do not like the smell. Smoke from the fire will be more effective if to throw pine branches and cones.
7. The smell of sweat. Yes, the mosquitoes do not like it. So that actively move and sweat.
8. Liquid soap. The strangest option, about which I have ever heard. But people say that it works. What should be done? Simply no water to put soap on exposed skin. Of course, it is desirable that the soap is contained as little as possible pollutant. It is better to use it in a pinch.
And a small list of what attracts mosquitoes: eau de toilette, perfumes, hair sprays, deodorants, wear bright colors. Also, do not drink alcohol and foods that contain a large amount of salt and potassium.
Recently, I was fascinated by essential oils and has raised a very impressive collection, so now I will use them even in this direction.
And you have your popular and proven means of those pesky bloodsuckers?
Upd. Thank you for pointing out the mistake about the sweat and attract mosquitoes. Once again, I looked and looked for new sources. It all depends on the smell of sweat, but he each individual. In most cases, the sweat really attracts mosquitoes (to be more precise, the smell attracts lactic acid), but if he has a sweet smell, we can assume that you are protected from so stubborn attacks.
