James Gunn Names 5 Favorite Comic Book Movies

Director "Guardians of the Galaxy» James Gunn, who is now in charge of development dc universe, speaking to GQ magazine named top 5 of my favorite comic book movies. The five favorites included:

• "Superman" (Superman, 1978, directed by Richard Donner);
• Justified Violence (A History of Violence, 2005, directed by David Cronenberg);
• «oldboy"(Oldeuboi, 2003, directed by Park Chan-wook);
• "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, 2018, directors Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey, Rodney Rothman);
• "Deadpool" (Deadpool, 2016, directed by Tim Miller).

The director also named several other outstanding films outside the top 5. These include Deadpool 2, V for Vendetta, Iron Man and Spider-Man: Homecoming. .

Talking about the actors, Gunn noted that he considers Ryan Reynolds "one of the greatest comic book icons" - along with Robert Downey Jr. and Christopher Reeve, who played Superman in the film of the same name.
