THR writesthat the selection of actors for the film "Superman: Legacy”, which should open the first chapter of the new DC Universe, is entering a decisive phase. There are only a few candidates left for the main roles.

One of the main contenders for the role of Clark Kent is called David Corenswet, who played in the film "Pearl" and the TV series "Hollywood".

In addition to Korensvet, two more candidates are under consideration, but their names are not called. However, Jacob Elordi, the star of Euphoria, is definitely not among them - his name has surfaced several times in casting rumors, but THR sources note that this actor is no longer being considered.

Also mentioned is the possible candidacy of Nicholas Hoult ("Mad Max: Fury Road", "X-Men: Days of Future Past"), who claims two roles at once - Superman himself and Lex Luthor.

As for Lois Lane, there are much more contenders here. Among them: Emma McKee ("

sex education”), Rachel Brosnahan (“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”), Phoebe Dinevor (“The Bridgertons”) and Samara Weaving (“I'm Going Looking”).

It is not yet clear which of them moves on to the next stage, but, according to rumors, Rachel Brosnahan conquered everyone. She had an "outstanding" audition, but at 32, she may end up not being the right age, the sources said.
