Onyx introduced a 6-inch Boox Poke5 reader on Android 11

Onyx has introduced the fifth generation of miniature Boox Poke reader. In the new model, the manufacturer managed to make the 6-inch model even more compact - Onyx even notes that the ratio of the body to the screen is "unsurpassed among any other readers."

The 6-inch screen uses E-Ink Carta backlit electronic ink with a pixel density of 300 ppi. The previous generation had a pixel density of 212 ppi.

The reader runs on an unnamed quad-core processor from Qualcomm and comes with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. They also added support for microSD cards, a magnetic cover and a built-in microphone - none of this is present in the fourth version.

Responsible for autonomy is a battery with a capacity of 1,500 mAh, USB-C is used for recharging. Dimensions are 148 × 108 × 6.8 mm, weight - 160 g.

The reader comes pre-installed with NeoReader, which supports EPUB, MOBI, TXT and CBR formats. It allows you to highlight text and add annotations to documents. But users are not tied to one application: since this is an Android device, you can download another reader from Google Play.

Onyx Boox Poke5 was priced at $170 (≈13,100 rubles). Also on official website a set with a magnetic cover-case is offered for $ 180 (≈13,800 rubles). Probably, soon the novelty will appear on AliExpress.
