Philips has released an unusual monitor 24B1D5600. It consists of two parts: a 23.8-inch IPS panel and a 13.3-inch e-ink panel. The halves are independent and can display different information, the angle between them can also be adjusted.
The resolution of the main display is 2560 × 1440 pixels (16:9), monochrome - 1200 × 1500 pixels (3:4). The type of electronic ink is not specified.
The manufacturer notes that this novelty is designed for office workers who have to constantly view a lot of information. The optional E-Ink panel helps them avoid eye strain with no blue light, no flicker, no bright backlight.
It is noteworthy that you need to connect the screens separately. The IPS monitor has DisplayPort 1.2 and USB-C with Power Delivery for this, the E-Ink screen needs one USB-C.
The monitor can be used as a hub. In addition to the connectors necessary for connecting the screens themselves, there is USB 3.2 Gen 2, four USB-A, gigabit Ethernet and a 3.5 mm audio output. The stand can be adjusted in height, tilt and angle between the two halves (up to 45°).
The Philips 24B1D5600 has already gone on sale in Asia for about $600 (≈46,000 rubles), the release of the device in Western countries has not yet been announced.
