Named the most highly rated games of 2021

The aggregator Game of the Year Awards Tracker has compiled statistics on the 2021 video games that received the most Game of the Year awards from popular publications and their readers.
The trio of winners is unlikely to surprise anyone: all these projects have been around for a year. The leader turned out to be It Takes Two, a cooperative adventure that combines mechanics from different genres. She received 84 votes. A pair of AAA games, the horror Resident Evil Village and the racing simulator Forza Horizon 5 came in second and third with 58 and 53 votes, respectively. Here's what the top ten looks like:
- It Takes Two - 84 votes (64 from publications, 20 from readers).
- Resident Evil Village - 58 votes (27 from publications, 31 from readers).
- Forza Horizon 5 - 53 votes (34 from publications, 19 from readers).
- Deathloop - 37 votes (31 from publications, 6 from readers).
- Metroid Dread - 34 votes (28 from publications, 6 from readers).
- Halo Infinite - 26 votes (20 from publishers, 6 from readers)
- Returnal - 22 votes (19 from publications, 3 from readers).
- Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart - 19 votes (18 from publications, 1 from readers).
- Psychonauts 2 - 17 votes (all from publications).
- Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy - 13 votes (11 from publications, 2 from readers).
