Motorola Edge 40 smartphone unveiled with faux leather trim

American company Motorola introduced Smartphone Edge 40. This is the younger brother of the flagship Motorola Edge 40 Pro. The novelty is smaller and cheaper, but inferior in many technical parameters.

The Motorola Edge 40 uses the new MediaTek Dimensity 8020 chipset with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Support for memory cards in the specifications is not mentioned.

It has a 6.55-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels, a refresh rate of 144Hz and a brightness of up to 1200 nits. Declared support for HDR10+. The phone received two stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos technology.

The main camera of the sub-flagship is equipped with a 50 MP sensor with optical stabilization. The second camera is 13 MP with macro function. There is also a 32 MP selfie camera with auto focus.

The phone received a 4,400 mAh battery and supports 15 W wireless charging. Comes with a wired power supply.

Motorola Edge 40 is already available in Europe for 550 euros (≈48,000 rubles). The smartphone is available in three colors - Nebula Green (green), Eclipse Black (black) and Lunar Blue (blue). The first two options are trimmed with artificial leather.
