Onyx Introduces Boox Tab Ultra C Tablet With E-Ink Color Screen

Onyx has announced a new tablet Boox Tab Ultra C. It is the first in the series to receive the Kaleido 3 screen, the latest color electronic ink technology. It is still limited to 4096 shades but offers higher resolution.
However, the brightness of colors as in the iPad should not be expected. Although the pixel density in black and white is 300 ppi, in color it is limited to 150 ppi. As a result, the shades are more faded and pastel - but still brighter than on the Onyx Boox Nova Air C, which in color mode limited the pixel density to 100 ppi.
In addition to color support, the 10.3-inch panel also features backlighting and eye strain reduction technology (blue light filter). Also, the advantages of Kaleido 3 include a higher response speed, so work a new the tablet should be faster - in theory, you can even watch videos on it (but this still needs to be checked for case).

Boox Tab Ultra. Both have a 16 MP main camera with OCR technology. It is suitable for shooting documents with instant conversion to digital text.Inside is an unnamed Qualcomm octa-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM. It offers four screen refresh rates for different tasks, from slow for reading books to faster for surfing the web and watching videos. It all works on a modified Android 11.
Boox Tab Ultra C will go on sale in a single modification with 128 GB of internal memory on May 10 at a price of $600 (≈48,900 rubles). In addition to the tablet, the package includes a magnetic case and a Pen2 Pro stylus.
