Google adds tool search to Docs, Spreadsheets and Presentations
Miscellaneous / / April 26, 2023
In recent years, Google has improved the menu bar in cloud office apps to make it easier for users to find the features they need. The new version of the services will make the life of users even more convenient: it will add tool search bar.
A small "tablet" of the search box will settle on the left side of the toolbar. Having highlighted the area to which you want to apply the changes, it will be enough to enter the name of the function in the search and click on the appropriate option.
Here is what can be edited in this way:
- Google Docs: page settings, dropdowns, meeting notes.
- Google Sheets: insert rows and columns, merge cells, freeze rows and columns.
- "Google Slides": page settings, grammar and spelling checker, editing the theme.
In the coming weeks, the new search will roll out to all users with personal accounts, as well as within Google Workspace and G Suite. In the Early Access Rapid Release, the update has already begun to roll out, and regular users will start receiving it from May 10th.
