The Ministry of Digital Development has developed a law on installing applications on the iPhone bypassing the App Store

It may be accepted this spring.
The Ministry of Digital Development has developed a bill obliging the American company Apple to allow installing applications on its devices from third-party marketplaces, and not just from the App Store. About it writes Interfax.
According to the head of the department, Maksut Shadayev, the draft is already ready and it can be submitted to the State Duma in the spring session. He considers Apple a "good faith company" that will agree to comply with the new rules. And he stressed that the corporation continues to work in the Russian market and "supplies us with applications", unlike the same Google.
I believe that this is just confirmation that the company is ready to fulfill the requirements of Russian legislation in good faith and continue to work on the market.

Last year, the European Union adopted a similar law called the Digital Markets Act (DMA). It obliges IT companies to open their platforms to third-party developers and provides for a fine of 20% of the violator's annual turnover. In this regard, Apple plans to allow the installation of applications from other marketplaces, but only in the EU. The option will appear already in iOS 17,
