The new Xiaomi washing robot vacuum cleaner cleans and dries rags by itself

Xiaomi showed the second generation of the robot vacuum cleaner Mijia Sweeping and Mopping Robot. Its main feature is a docking station with the function of cleaning rags after wet cleaning. Having arrived at the station, the robot begins to twist the rags, cleaning off the dirt from them. After that, the dryer is switched on to prevent the formation of bacteria and unpleasant odors.

During cleaning, the vacuum cleaner will drive into the base after every 5 or 10 m², depending on the settings. This will allow him not to travel with a dirty rag around the house. For deeper cleaning, a special detergent can be added to clean water (not included in the delivery).

The main improvements compared to the first generation were an increase in suction power (5000 Pa vs. 2800 Pa) and a new cleaning mode: first dry, then wet.

The device was equipped with a 430 dust collector with an EPA11 class filter, the volume of the water tank is not specified. The docking station has 4-liter water tanks, so the vacuum cleaner will refuel itself. When the dirty water container is close to full, the corresponding indicator on the base will light up, and a notification will be sent to the application. Dry waste must be shaken out by hand.

For navigation, the robot relies on an LSD laser (everything here is the same as in the first version), the battery capacity is 5,200 mAh.

Xiaomi Mijia Sweeping and Mopping Robot 2 is already available for pre-order in China. The release is expected on May 10 at a price of 2499 yuan (≈29,700 rubles).
