How did the series "Live Life" with Lyubov Aksyonova turn out

50 shades of "Kept Women" from the Start platform.
On April 13, the premiere of the first two episodes of the series “Live Life” took place on the Start platform. It will appeal to those who love The Kept Women, 50 Shades of Grey, or can't live life without Lyubov Aksyonova.
The project is based on the book of the same name by Anna Boginskaya, not only a writer, but also a business analyst, blogger, and relationship expert. On her YouTube channel, she talks about hypnosis protection, love healing, and relationships with her mother-in-law. And one of the videos is called "Manipulation of the New Year." Now the work of Boginskaya is filmed by Start.
The director of the project is Artyom Aksenenko ("Mediator"). Mikhail Zubko (Happy End) was responsible for the adaptation of the script. The series was produced by Irina Sosnovaya (“Black Spring”, “Kept Women”), Eduard Iloyan (“Superbeavers”, “Kept Women”), Daria Moroz (“Kept Women”).
The main roles were played by Lyubov Aksyonova (“Kidney”, “Kept Women 2”) and Roman Vasiliev (“Container”). Also in the show starred Daria Moroz ("Kept Women"), Yuri Chursin ("Playing the Victim") and many others.
Anya Boginskaya works as a marketer and is trying to recover from the death of her husband, who died in a car accident. One evening, the girl discovers a lump in her chest. Anya comes to see the doctor Matvey and falls in love with him. She is afraid to start a relationship, because sometimes she sees her husband - the widow even talks to him. However, Matthew is dexterous manipulator, who gradually gains control over the heroine.
Terribly boring characters
Anya is a very beautiful, stylish, witty and sexy woman. Given that the author of the book called the heroine by her own name, it can be assumed that the woman simply described the ideal version of herself. It is not surprising that the result was not a character, but a walking profile from Tinder.
However, the girl's friends are even more flat and boring. Their insignificance is emphasized by the name of the general chat in which they sit - "Goddess and Goddesses".
The very first meeting of Anya and Matvey hints that something will happen between them. They bulge their eyes like a fool and think over the answers to simple questions for a very long time. The scene is reminiscent of something out of a Leslie Nielsen movie. And this model of behavior does not change (at least for two episodes).
Matvey is interesting only from the point of view of his positioning. The hero is immediately made as mysterious as possible. Perhaps this way he should seem more attractive than he is, but his “specialness” is emphasized in a strange way: most often a man is silent and looks very unpleasantly at others. So much so that if such a person asks you to guard your bag at the station, then you will immediately go looking for the police.
The characters in Living a Life are so boring that you just can't build a compelling story with them.
Emptiness instead of logic
The action of the series takes place approximately in Moscow and approximately in modern times. All this is very conditional, since the characters live in a vacuum. Their world is a set of external signs without internal content and any connection between them.
Anya is a brilliant marketer, so she either works with clients or goes to expensive establishments with her friends. And he also drives a Tesla - this is repeatedly pointed out. At the same time, the girl can go with the owners of a chain of stores to a shopping center under construction to negotiate a lease. You might as well have shown an ice cream seller who gets to work by helicopter.
And in one of the scenes, the main character and her friend Rita decide to eat borscht at Anya's house. The girl brings it with her in a jar. They pour soup into bowls and vodka into glasses. They drink, have a snack and go sit on the couch. Why do they need a spoonful of borsch, why did they have to carry it through Moscow, why did they immediately leave the table - the episode looks so phantasmagoric, as if it was directed by David Lynch. And scenes like this happen all the time.
Lots of erotica
"Live life" actively uses the body of Lyubov Aksyonova. Her collarbones and back in two episodes take up so much screen time that they could write lines. Aksyonova is a beautiful woman, but also a good actress (the Kidney series is a perfect example). However, the script does not imply the presence of a heroine, only the ideal picture is written in it.
The series as a whole follows the “Kept Women” and twists the eroticism to the maximum, and in inappropriate situations. For example, Anya goes for a breast examination, and the music hints that now the heroine will start having sex with a doctor. The scene looks like it was cut from cheap porn - or like a male fantasy. Going to a mammologist is unlikely to excite women. Especially when they felt some kind of seal in the chest.
And even more creep
"Live life" hits every 5-7 minutes. For example, quite often messages appear on the screen that the characters send to each other. The notification sound is borrowed from Telegram, but the design is fictional. At the same time, individual images hint that the characters communicate on VKontakte. Of course, this is an insignificant detail, but such a mess looks strange.
And in one of the scenes, the main character comes to a friend to discuss Matvey. Together they look at his VKontakte page. And then the guy gives out “analytics”: Matvey has “outgoing traffic on medical topics”, “incomprehensible likes” and, in general, he, apparently, is not very interested in social networks. Gentlemen scriptwriters, what is the outgoing traffic? Where does this information come from?
In addition, "Live Life" flirts with modern trends and expressions. So, Matvey apologizes for crossing personal boundaries. Stop, no - he asks for forgiveness that he "crossed the border"! The border between Russia and Kazakhstan or the border with Finland?
Or another example: on the first date, Anya catches the hero on what he is trying to use pickup to seduce her. In particular, Matvey used the “three dates in one night” technique. 2023, which pickup and which equipment?
In the film "The Forty-Year-Old Virgin", the main character hid his virginity, but got caught in a lie that he touched his chest - according to him, it feels like sandbags to the touch. Sometimes it seems that the authors of Living Life have exactly the same idea about women and human relationships.
Incomprehensible start
There are series that are revealed in one episode, some need more time. "Living life" in two episodes does not explain why it is worth watching. Nothing is said about the manipulations promised in the trailer and the official description. Anya catches Matvey in an unsuccessful pickup truck, freaks out, and then offers a new date - there are indecently few events for two episodes.
Good producers and screenwriters teamed up to film the book of a business coach and blogger, but something went wrong. The series is striking in the absence of life - dead heroes wander through empty locations and talk about nothing. A story that alludes to abuse, for two episodes practically does not develop. Watching “Live Life” is worth it only to those who want to see Lyubov Aksyonova from all possible angles. But if you are still over 12 years old, then it is better to ignore the project.
