The Game Awards 2022 named the best games of the year and presented Death Stranding 2

On the night of December 8-9, The Game Awards 2022 took place in Los Angeles, which can be called the "Oscars" in the world of video games. Elden Ring, God of War Ragnarök and Horizon Forbidden West competed for the main award, Game of the Year. The winner was the first - the creation of From Software and Hidetaka Miyazaki.

The best mobile game of 2022 was the card-based Marvel Snap (not available in Russia), developed by one of the creators of Hearthstone. She competed with hits like Apex Legends Mobile, Diablo Immortal and Genshin Impact.

As a result of the ceremony, Elden Ring received four awards, and God of War: Ragnarök received six. Final Fantasy XIV and Stray have two each.

Also as part of The Game Awards 2022, many studios presented their new games planned for next year. The main announcement was Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding 2.

Actress Lea Seydoux will play a key role, but Norman Reedus' character will also appear. The developer did not share details, inviting fans to take a closer look at the trailer.

Another interesting announcement is the release of the cult The Last of Us Part I on PC. It will be available to play as early as March 3, 2023. Also on March 17th, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the sequel to Fallen Order, will be released. The trailer was shown at the presentation.

A small video was also shown on the MMO Dune: Awakening, based on "duneby Frank Herbert. The teaser is not rich in details, but it is known that players will have to survive in a large open world - on the desert planet Arrakis.

• Valiant Hearts: Coming Home - continuation of the World War I quest for mobile devices;
• Hades II is the sequel to the popular roguelike game;
• Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores - story add-on with new quests and locations;
• Transformers: Reactivate - cooperative action game based on "Transformers";
• Tekken 8 - another part of the cult fighting game;
• Final Fantasy XVI is a new JRPG that will be released on June 22, 2023;
• Diablo IV release date - June 6;
• Returnal is coming to PC in early 2023.
